Ten literature classics that are still fun to read

Updated: Oct 27, 2020

Let’s be honest. Some classics are… well… let’s just say, not that engaging. They may be well written for their time frame, but sometimes they are not that interesting for the modern reader.

To remedy this situation, here is a list of my ten favorite literature classics that are both well-crafted and still fun to read.

In no particular order:

The Stranger, by Albert Camus

A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeline L'Engle

Franny and Zooey, by J.D. Salinger

The Lord of the Rings, by J.R.R. Tolkien

The Picture of Dorian Gray, by Oscar Wilde

Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, by Robert Louis Stevenson

Animal Farm, by George Orwell

Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley

The Catcher in the Rye, by J. D. Salinger

The Red Badge of Courage, by Stephen Crane

If you are looking for a classic to read that will keep you engaged from beginning to end, give one of these a try. You’ll be glad you did!
